Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Axel Tasis made the kick off and thus started the match. Hugo Ferrant kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 5th minute, Sabin Mergea reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 1-0. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olle Sigman in the 8th minute of the match. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sabin Mergea in the 13th minute. Axel Tasis charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Axel Tasis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 30 minutes into the match, Osvald Backlund notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vilhelm Kvist hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Vilhelm Kvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sabin Mergea made a kick off. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvald Backlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joacim Jonsson in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th match minute, Flock of Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Åke Hägg to maneuver through the defense. Kent Asklöv scored 4-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Axel Tasis struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Esbjörn Lindell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olle Sigman went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. 75 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Sabin Mergea came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Axel Tasis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, Joacim Jonsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joacim Jonsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christoffer Kock in the 85th minute of play. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. The supporters of Flock of Eagles booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Tasis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sabin Mergea took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0.
