Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sabin Mergea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilhelm Kvist in the 37th minute of play. Paraguay were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Flock of Eagles's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Pardo took the corner. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Pardo to strike the kick off in the second half. Sabin Mergea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Esbjörn Lindell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Pardo's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sabin Mergea in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Flock of Eagles's Christoffer Kock slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jacobo Nores. That made the score 0-4 after 85 minutes of play. Jacobo Nores was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Sabin Mergea capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sabin Mergea really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Flock of Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Erik Heggert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacobo Nores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sabin Mergea went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score.
