Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carl Tomasson started the match with the kick off. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Tomasson in the 3rd minute of the match. Carl Tomasson hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Eliseo Noboa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmund Kämpe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Carl Tomasson sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmund Kämpe having to interfere. Tord Rydberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tord Rydberg ran back to his position shaking his head. 31 minutes into the match, Carl Tomasson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carl Tomasson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 34 minutes into the match, Sandsjöfors FF's goalkeeper Edmund Kämpe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Puig. Sandsjöfors FF's Carl Tomasson got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Sandsjöfors FF booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Holger Brask received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Efrain Moruga hit a great ball. If Holger Brask had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Costa Rica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sandsjöfors FF were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Axel Tasis took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmund Kämpe. Edmund Kämpe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sandsjöfors FF's Tord Rydberg got a free kick in the 61st minute. Carl Tomasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carl Tomasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Axel Tasis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edmund Kämpe was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Sandsjöfors FF were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Costa Rica to leave the ground with a draw.
