Takis Koutsos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Takis Koutsos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Takis Koutsos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Takis Koutsos saved The Beatles from getting behind. 31 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Takis Koutsos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Doru Lițu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Takis Koutsos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elder Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Julian Murillo hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The The Beatles players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Doru Lițu to make the kick off. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Peru had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
