The crowd rose to their feet as Colombia's Axel Montenegro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of King Junior. That made the score 1-1 after 9 minutes of play. King Junior took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Kobra TEAM booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Carballar didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was a well-played corner which Joshua Garrido managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 21st minute, Ionică Lucescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 24th minute, Colombia's Axel Montenegro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Pascual Carballar hit a great ball. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amauri Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Montenegro hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amauri Lopes in the 42nd minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionică Lucescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 44 minutes in the game, Ionică Lucescu dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Kobra TEAM's Ionică Lucescu got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Ionică Lucescu got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Aristides Paiva came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Orlando Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ionică Lucescu got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedro Manzanares was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Ionică Lucescu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ionică Lucescu really showed his touch with that goal: 3-4. In the 65th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Indiano to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 65 minutes, Cazimir Corbeanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kobra TEAM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cazimir Corbeanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Aristides Paiva dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pedro Manzanares, 3-5. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Paiva in the 74th minute of play. Kobra TEAM's Danny King was substituted for Aristides Paiva. It was a well-played corner which Amauri Lopes managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Ionică Lucescu took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-6. Pascual Carballar hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the match, Cazimir Corbeanu sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Pedro Manzanares threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Cazimir Corbeanu this time. In the 95th minute Ionică Lucescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
