Ruben Paz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Lautaro Navarro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 8th minute of play forced Dinamo Colorado's goalkeeper Inácio Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Fernando Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Dinamo Colorado's zone, Sebastian Villa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inácio Marquez came out of the goal and Sebastian Villa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Inácio Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Dinamo Colorado getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Fernando Pinho hit a great ball. During the 14th minute of the match Fernando Pinho completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fernando Pinho a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 15th minute, Fernando Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inácio Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Villa in the 16th minute of play. A throw-in in the 18th minute of the game was made by Augusto Alvarenga with Perivaldo Fonseca as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Natã Tasso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dinamo Colorado's supporters rose to their feet, but Natã Tasso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inácio Marquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Villa in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inácio Marquez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st minute Moises Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inácio Marquez was a little too slow when Edmundo Espiga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 0-2. Christian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Inácio Marquez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Sebastian Villa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Inácio Marquez. Dinamo Colorado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastian Villa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Dinamo Colorado made a substitution. Kauan Martins replaced Ruben Paz. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Sebastian Villa hit a great ball. Honduras played a much better game than Dinamo Colorado and deserved their victory. The Dinamo Colorado players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
