Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Piorno Bazarra. Penuel Football Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Piorno Bazarra came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. But to his dismay, Patricio Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The throw-in from Salvador Gisbert in the 14th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Penuel Football Club's Fernando Cavenaghi. Piorno Bazarra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 19th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute of the game Camilo Gaos made a throw-in which Tomas Illescas played forward. Guillermo Mariano made in the 29th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tomas Illescas immediately put the ball in play. Penuel Football Club's Piorno Bazarra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 30th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Piorno Bazarra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Piorno Bazarra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Penuel Football Club's Jairo Patiño got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Piorno Bazarra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piorno Bazarra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 46th minute of the match. Piorno Bazarra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matías Almeyda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Penuel Football Club's Piorno Bazarra got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guillermo Mariano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Piorno Bazarra made a huge save. Tomas Illescas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Piorno Bazarra when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Piorno Bazarra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 66th minute of play. Penuel Football Club made a substitution. Ramos Cuyar replaced Fernando Cavenaghi. Jairo Patiño hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Piorno Bazarra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Piorno Bazarra having to interfere. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piorno Bazarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Penuel Football Club's Piorno Bazarra. Piorno Bazarra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Penuel Football Club's Piorno Bazarra got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 84th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piorno Bazarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Penuel Football Club's Piorno Bazarra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Penuel Football Club from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute, Joshua Secada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raul Bertiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Venezuela could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Penuel Football Club throughout the match.
