Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Esbjerg fB's Servet Turabi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Servet Turabi got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donato Bordon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Esbjerg fB's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Venezuela's Patricio Costa getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 11 minutes into the game, Servet Turabi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Servet Turabi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 15th play minute Servet Turabi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. 2-0. In the 17th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Bordon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 18th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donato Bordon. Esbjerg fB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patricio Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 27 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Rune Griffenfeld came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Esbjerg fB's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pelle Hvidegaard, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Donato Bordon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Esbjerg fB's Ib Dalsted got a free kick in the 31st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Esbjerg fB's Rune Griffenfeld slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 3-1 after 34 minutes of play. After some careless play in the Esbjerg fB defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donato Bordon. The Esbjerg fB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donato Bordon should have stopped the shot. Max Rambovs short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Esbjerg fB's Severin Torbell. But to his dismay, Severin Torbell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rune Griffenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Esbjerg fB getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Mourits Wermelin hit a great ball. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Esbjerg fB's Rune Griffenfeld. But to his dismay, Rune Griffenfeld quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2. After 72 minutes of play, Esbjerg fB's Rune Griffenfeld made it 7-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Esbjerg fB's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Bordon came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Illescas charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Illescas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Illescas to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Esbjerg fB's Servet Turabi in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. After 82 minutes, Camilo Gaos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Esbjerg fB players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 82 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. Servet Turabi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Rune Griffenfeld scored 8-2 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 96 minutes into the match, 于震树 notched a goal, 9-2, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the Esbjerg fB players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
