The Swedish Nightmare's Edgar Åström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Swedish Nightmare's goalkeeper Edgar Åström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgar Åström was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some careless play in the The Swedish Nightmare defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgar Åström. The The Swedish Nightmare fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgar Åström should have stopped the shot. Pedro Indiano kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The throw-in from Felix Garrido in the 51st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by The Swedish Nightmare's Ahmed Ouadah. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgar Åström having to make a save. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgar Åström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Edgar Åström in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 61 minutes into the game, Marcin Zajac was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Swedish Nightmare's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chile the free kick. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Lacasa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Chile could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than The Swedish Nightmare throughout the match.
