Mecnun Eslem received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Mecnun Eslem slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 83rd minute. If Naim Ökmen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Cappadocia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naim Ökmen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. Naim Ökmen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cappadocia FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
