In the 10th match minute, YeniMalatyaSpor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nektarios Vrachopoulos to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of YeniMalatyaSpor's Jardel Carvalho. Jardel Carvalho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Haşim Hürol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Mauro Elazar notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Elazar in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haşim Hürol in the 23rd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Elazar in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 44th minute Haşim Hürol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as YeniMalatyaSpor's Haşim Hürol slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 2-2 after 57 minutes of play. The supporters of Honduras booed when YeniMalatyaSpor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamuran Mensur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lautaro Navarro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mauro Elazar's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. YeniMalatyaSpor were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Honduras's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mauro Elazar took the corner. Moises Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Jardel Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Elazar in the 83rd minute of play. Jardel Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. After a rather tough play, YeniMalatyaSpor's Kamuran Mensur got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. YeniMalatyaSpor walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
