The PINGO PINGO fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when PINGO PINGO's Filip Josefsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, PINGO PINGO's Dionisio Raphael got control of the ball when Axel Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Axel Montenegro did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Dionisio Raphael 16 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, PINGO PINGO's goal looked a bit too open when Santino Seco came free, but Dionisio Raphael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filip Josefsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Casimiro Claris threw the ball into play from the sideline. Colombia's Antonio Indiano quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Montenegro in the 31st minute. Doctor Frankenhaeuser tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Dionisio Raphael. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-1 in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Josefsson in the 34th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joshua Garrido made in the 39th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Kevin Mastache however managed to control. If Filip Josefsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, PINGO PINGO's Baldomiro Cordarrell got a free kick in the 48th minute. After having played for 50 minutes, Abram Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abram Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. In the 58thth minute of the game Abram Sarmiento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PINGO PINGO's Dionisio Raphael was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dionisio Raphael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Carballar in the 59th minute of play. Luis Cazalla made in the 60th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by PINGO PINGO's Gregorio Tancoš. Filip Josefsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filip Josefsson ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filip Josefsson got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute Kevin Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionisio Raphael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Filip Josefsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Filip Josefsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ignacio Mastache in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dionisio Raphael prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dionisio Raphael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind PINGO PINGO's goalkeeper Dionisio Raphael, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Micarelli in the 83rd minute of play. Felipe Fernandes hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Colombia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
