Panama:s Marcos Cotilla showed great skill when he stopped Linus Mattes:s penalty. After 8 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. TSV Delliehausen's Rafael Heintz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 12 minutes into the game, Panama's Tomas Berganza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Heintz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Jean-Marc Debut kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. Linus Mattes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elvis Töpfer went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Jean-Marc Debut tried to sneak it across the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jean-Marc Debut. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Marc Debut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Linus Mattes took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. In the 58th minute Elvis Töpfer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elvis Töpfer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Jean-Marc Debut made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-2.
