He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugeniusz Poniewaz in the 33rd minute of play. With his leg Dante Lacasa managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's Henk Horneber fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With an all-out effort, Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's Dante Lacasa threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Henk Horneber, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anselmo Bakar was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Anselmo Bakar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henk Horneber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugeniusz Poniewaz in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 76th minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but J.J J.J. was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. J.J J.J. made an important save on a dangerous shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 78th minute. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henk Horneber, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. A collision led to Sc Ajax Hirtenberg getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Eugeniusz Poniewaz hit a great ball. Sc Ajax Hirtenberg made a substitution. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselmo Bakar charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anselmo Bakar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Mexico players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
