Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinícius Servaes in the 17th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vinícius Servaes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thiago Pliego having to make a save. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinícius Servaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Vinícius Servaes came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rogério Ceni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 26th minute of the match. Vinícius Servaes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vinícius Servaes got free with Thiago Pliego in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rogério Ceni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 38th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Diamante Negro DK - VV's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Rogério Ceni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jerônimo Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Diamante Negro DK - VV's Rogério Ceni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Diamante Negro DK - VV from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Orlando Casaus hit a great ball. After 71 played minutes Diamante Negro DK - VV got a freekick which was hit by Bonifaco Elenes. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerônimo Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Zonta in the 85th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, Francisco Carballar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 89th minute of play forced Diamante Negro DK - VV's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Diamante Negro DK - VV's Hugo Zonta. But to his dismay, Hugo Zonta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
