Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. In the 33rd minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Güneş Pekergin succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 35th playminute. 39 minutes into the match, Güneş Pekergin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa, 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Tabor Velazquez sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mexico's Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelino Orlondo in the 59th minute of play.
