The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kjell-Arne Åberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 4thth minute, Joaquin Gayoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 5 minutes, Johannes Tidén made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jorge Sainz kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 17 minutes in the game Åke Johansson did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Kjell-Arne Åberg. Azam Sum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Francisco Seco might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Azam Sum. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisco Seco ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 24th match minute, Moodys IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo-Erik Högberg to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Seco in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Azam Sum prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Barnabás Selymes hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Francisco Seco put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Azam Sum. 33 minutes into the game, Brian May cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Joaquin Gayoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Brian May fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johannes Tidén, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. If Barnabás Selymes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Kjell-Arne Åberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Moodys IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. In the 54th match minute, Moodys IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjell-Arne Åberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, Andreas Carlberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Tidén in the 74th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nico Belić hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, Moodys IF's goalkeeper Azam Sum had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. Azam Sum was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Francisco Seco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 77 minute of play. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Azam Sum having to interfere. After 82 minutes of play, Moodys IF's Erik Pettersson made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kjell-Arne Åberg's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Moodys IF's Bo-Erik Högberg suffered a concussion in the 90th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 90 minutes, Maximiliano Escribano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the Moodys IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Moodys IF booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximiliano Escribano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camilo Franco charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Franco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
