In the 3rdth minute of the game Tomas Berganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trinchera FC's Camilo Bittor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Trinchera FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Camilo Bittor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Miguel Miralles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Gaizkine in the 11th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Bittor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Alguacil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Bittor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hipolito Bonifaco hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match.
