Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Moises Fernandino made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 10th minute, Itapeipu AD's Greg Marshall dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When Cássio Vander came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Itapeipu AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cássio Vander couldn't finish the play. In the 16thth minute of the game Bebeto de Carvalho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ricardo Zorita was a little too slow when Greg Marshall got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 2-0. Itapeipu AD were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after El Salvador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Belmiro Quadros took the corner. The corner ended in Belmiro Quadros almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita did a great save. 22 minutes into the game, Greg Marshall cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Ricardo Zorita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 26 minutes into the game, Belmiro Quadros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Ricardo Zorita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 28th match minute, Itapeipu AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitinho Leite to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Bebeto de Carvalho put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ricardo Zorita. If Bebeto de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute Bebeto de Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute of the match Itapeipu AD got a corner. El Salvador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Belmiro Quadros ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of El Salvador's goalie and right to Greg Marshall. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. El Salvador's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belmiro Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute.

Ricardo Zorita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Greg Marshall went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Joshua Curbelo hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the match, Itapeipu AD's Belmiro Quadros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Zorita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 64 minutes of play, Itapeipu AD's Bebeto de Carvalho made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Zorita was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carlos Alberto Azevedo made in the 70th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Vitinho Leite immediately put the ball in play. 71 minutes into the match, Bebeto de Carvalho notched a goal, 12-0, to the right of El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jesus Carvallo's late challenge caught a Itapeipu AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jesus Carvallo helped the player get up and apologised. Jesus Carvallo hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Bebeto de Carvalho came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Greg Marshall made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 13-0. Itapeipu AD's Greg Marshall got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bebeto de Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Bebeto de Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itapeipu AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Bebeto de Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Zorita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Greg Marshall took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 14-0. After 90 minutes, Bebeto de Carvalho made it 15-0 with a short kick to the right side. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mateo Leguizamo kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Itapeipu AD's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
