Björn Utter lost his temper 15 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Griskultingarnas FF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 14th minute. Penalty! Natasha Sjøholm had in the 16thth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Zorita's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, Griskultingarnas FF's Jonny Balle got a free kick in the 17th minute. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play forced Griskultingarnas FF's goalkeeper Natasha Sjøholm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Natasha Sjøholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 22nd minute of the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Griskultingarnas FF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Natasha Sjøholm quite easily take care of the ball. A hard and well directed shot from Daniel Zorita led 24 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Griskultingarnas FF's Natasha Sjøholm became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-1. In the 29th match minute, Griskultingarnas FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Lång to maneuver through the defense. In the 31stth minute of the game Jochem Klooster who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Griskultingarnas FF's Natasha Sjøholm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 41st minute of play. Jochem Kloosters short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Griskultingarnas FF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-1.

Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jochem Klooster in the 73rd minute of play. Griskultingarnas FF's Arman Ekström was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Natasha Sjøholm made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Griskultingarnas FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arman Ekström didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Natasha Sjøholm in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 85th minute, Jochem Klooster got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Griskultingarnas FF's Natasha Sjøholm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Griskultingarnas FF from getting a goal against them. In the 96th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Griskultingarnas FF succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
