Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ruperto Abeita started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Marco Peli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Peli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Agustín Saelices made a precise shot to the right of Marco Peli. Candelaria FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After some careless play in the Candelaria FC defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Peli. The Candelaria FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Peli should have stopped the shot. Luis Andino might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Peli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Andino ran back to his position shaking his head. 20 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Candelaria FC's Marco Peli. Marco Peli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 24 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Peli. Candelaria FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Marco Peli came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. In the 30th minute, Agustín Saelices ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Peli was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Marco Peli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Peli. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Candelaria FC's goalie prevented a goal. Marco Peli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Peli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10. In the 47th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Peli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-10. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Marco Peli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Candelaria FC's Marco Peli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute of play. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-11 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Candelaria FC's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montes got free with Marco Peli in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 69th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Marco Peli. Candelaria FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-13. With a little luck, Candelaria FC's Marco Peli got control of the ball when Primitivo Andino tried to sneak it across the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marco Peli. Agustín Saelices showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-14. Marco Peli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's goalkeeper Marco Peli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montes. Felix Montes had several of the Candelaria FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 80 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-15 score and a disappointed Marco Peli as he didn't even see the shot coming. Marco Peli came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-16. After 87 minutes of play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino made it 0-17 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Peli was left in no man's land by his defense there! 91 minutes into the game, Luis Andino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marco Peli. After 94 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-19 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Peli was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ecuador played a much better game than Candelaria FC and deserved their victory. The Candelaria FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
