The A A Arizona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edson de Souza should have stopped the shot. Lu Yin Zheng's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Edson de Souza skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 25th minute Henrik Bratland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edson de Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute Ronaldinho Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulinho Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulinho Vander came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by A A Arizona's Luís Fabiano Branco. But to his dismay, Luís Fabiano Branco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eliseu Fonseca to make the kick off. Eliseu Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. A A Arizona's Edson de Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Palacios in the 53rd minute of play. In the 64th minute Ronaldinho Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulinho Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edson de Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lu Yin Zheng in the 81st minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Ronaldinho Cruz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paulinho Vander. The goal made the score 1-4. In the 96th minute, Lu Yin Zheng made a precise shot to the right of Edson de Souza. A A Arizona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. A A Arizona's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
