When the match had been going on for 9 minutes, Szombathely Squirrels's Tivadar Demeter got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Pedro Manzanares. 17 minutes into the match, Tivadar Demeter notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arnold Szuper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 20th minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnold Szuper prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Colombia were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Szombathely Squirrels's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Montenegro took the corner. Colombia's Axel Montenegro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnold Szuper in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Pedro Manzanares was a little too slow when Tivadar Demeter got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 3-0. Tivadar Demeter hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Arnold Szuper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tivadar Demeter in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Tivadar Demeter came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Arnold Szuper made a huge save. Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Szombathely Squirrels from getting a goal against them. Szombathely Squirrels made a substitution. Lei Jian Xiong replaced Tivadar Demeter. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Abram Secada in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arnold Szuper, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 71 minutes into the match, Lei Jian Xiong had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lei Jian Xiong was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 74th minute, Colombia's Abram Secada ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arnold Szuper. Arnold Szuper yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. 77 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Mastache came free, but Arnold Szuper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lei Jian Xiong in the 80th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Abram Secada ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnold Szuper was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Lei Jian Xiong's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute Szombathely Squirrels were awarded a corner. Luciano Aued went to the cornerflag to take it. After 91st play minutes Abram Secada shot 4-3, a short shot which went by Arnold Szuper and just under the crossbar into goal. Arnold Szuper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 94th minute of the match.
