The supporters of Venezuela booed when Olympique Fribourg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ben Zehnder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Tristan Arioli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Olympique Fribourg's Tristan Arioli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Florian Plouffe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tristan Arioli having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florian Plouffe. In the 30th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Tristan Arioli. Olympique Fribourg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 82 minutes in the game Ben Zehnder did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Marcellus Walpert. When Olympique Fribourg's Raik Topuz in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Olympique Fribourg succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Venezuela had controlled the match.
