Eduardo Fontirroig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Gregory Hattendorf made a huge save. Roland Hatman scored 1-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Camilo Freixa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bolivia's Julio Chicote got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 46 minutes into the match, Georgian F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Ferrant came free, but Gregory Hattendorf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Georgian F.C. were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Irakli Gogava came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Georgian F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Irakli Gogava couldn't finish the play. After 59 minutes, Humberto Ishmael mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Georgian F.C. and the Bolivia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th match minute, Georgian F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Ishmael to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Dato Arveladze kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Camilo Freixa. That made the score 1-3 in the 64 minute of play. Irakli Gogava sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Alfredo Ferrant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mario Fernandino kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Camilo Freixa was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Roland Hatman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Roland Hatman really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. If Mario Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 86th minute of the match Humberto Ishmael completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Humberto Ishmael a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. If Roland Hatman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camilo Freixa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Hatman, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
