Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute, Artetas artilleri's Leon Russel seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Leon Russel the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Artetas artilleri protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leon Russel had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 14 minutes into the game, one of Artetas artilleri:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Epifanio Iratzeder was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Artetas artilleri's goalkeeper Epifanio Iratzeder, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 44th minute. It was a well-played corner which Emmanuel Reyes managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joakim Brandin to strike the kick off in the second half. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Julian Murillo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Epifanio Iratzeder quite easily take care of the ball. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Julian Murillo took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Epifanio Iratzeder to make any attempt to save it. Epifanio Iratzeder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 63rd minute. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Epifanio Iratzeder was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. George Michael made in the 83rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Artetas artilleri's goalkeeper Epifanio Iratzeder, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Viggo Sjöberg made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. Epifanio Iratzeder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Gallo, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Artetas artilleri's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eliseo Mina ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Peru's Antonio Tenorio to fire away a dangerous shot which Epifanio Iratzeder despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Alonso Berganza put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Epifanio Iratzeder. In the 92nd minute of the match Peru got a corner. Artetas artilleri's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eliseo Mina ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Peru's Rafael Gallo to a score. 0-5 in the 92nd minute. Peru's Rafael Gallo got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Peru eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
