After a rather tough play, Proteu's Qu Wei got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute Hector Covarrubias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, 毛明昆 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Qu Wei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Qu Wei, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When Hílton Vasconcelos fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Proteu's protests and gave Hílton Vasconcelos a yellow card for diving instead. Qu Wei blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Nores having to make a save. 72 minutes into the game, Proteu's 毛明昆 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacobo Nores made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 毛明昆, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute Proteu were awarded a corner. Tercero Segundo went to the cornerflag to take it. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Qu Wei in the 82nd minute of play. In the 86th minute, 毛明昆 made a precise shot to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. After 93 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Escribano. Proteu's Qu Wei got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Proteu had won after a very even match.
