Percy Medeiros hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the match, Llavallol FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Agustin Orion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percy Medeiros in the 11th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Percy Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Llavallol FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Percy Medeiros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Agustin Orion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Sebastián Puig, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percy Medeiros in the 18th minute of the match. Agustin Orion didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 22 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedito Fiúza. Agustin Orion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Orion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute, Llavallol FC's Benedito Fiúza ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Luis Andino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Agustin Orion narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Llavallol FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agustin Orion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 45th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benedito Fiúza was the one to do the kick off. Despite this Agustin Orion quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedito Fiúza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Agustin Orion narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 76 minutes, Carlos Maxin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Llavallol FC and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carlos Maxin kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benedito Fiúza in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Percy Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
