Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Axel Tasis kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when አሪዮንዳስ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olo Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseo Noboa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mon Vadillos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmacio Japón in the 6th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Dalmacio Japón left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The አሪዮንዳስ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Abel Carballo got a free kick in the 19th minute. 23 minutes into the game, Efrain Moruga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave አሪዮንዳስ the free kick. Efrain Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After having played for 25 minutes, Dalmacio Japón managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. አሪዮንዳስ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmacio Japón was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 26 minutes into the game, Aaron Alcocer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave አሪዮንዳስ the free kick. After 27 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dalmacio Japón went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 40th minute, Axel Tasis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hanni Infante in the 45th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dalmacio Japón made a kick off. Efrain Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Dalmacio Japón left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The አሪዮንዳስ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 67 minutes of play Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Efrain Moruga hit a great ball. Dalmacio Japón fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 84th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. When Lautaro Puig came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Puig couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded አሪዮንዳስ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Costa Rica.
