Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9thth minute of the game Silverio Mitxaut who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Villa Lourdes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albino Mikelar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Villa Lourdes FC's Fabio Lordi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Rosendo Berto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabio Lordi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulino Valiente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabio Lordi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 28th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Valiente, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The Villa Lourdes FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulino Valiente to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Paulino Valiente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villa Lourdes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulino Valiente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Valiente in the 62nd minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominic Pastor in the 79th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Villa Lourdes FC's Silverio Mitxaut quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Camilo Gisbert, made in the 92nd minute of the game. Nicasio Erauso kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
