In the 16th minute, Orlando Casaus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kleopas Plouffe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Defensores de Mar de Ajó's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Kleopas Plouffe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Defensores de Mar de Ajó getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Sebastião Paes hit a great ball. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kleopas Plouffe having to make a save. Kleopas Plouffe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 32nd minute of the match. Kleopas Plouffe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 40 minutes into the match, Defensores de Mar de Ajó's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Casaus came free, but Kleopas Plouffe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Defensores de Mar de Ajó's Thiago Pliego threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gogo Elequemedo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice moves Cesar Romildo could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Thiago Pliego however easily saved by the left post.

The wind increased when Cesar Romildo made the kick off in the second half. Cesar Romildo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gogo Elequemedo in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kleopas Plouffe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 57th minute Defensores de Mar de Ajó were awarded a corner. Cesar Romildo went to the cornerflag to take it. Cesar Romildo made a great header on Defensores de Mar de Ajó's corner, it was just that Chile's Thiago Pliego managed to reach the ball for a save. Chile were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Defensores de Mar de Ajó's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mariano Lacasa took the corner. Chile's Mariano Lacasa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kleopas Plouffe in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kleopas Plouffe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. A hard shot 76 in the game by Orlando Casaus from a close distance when the talented Kleopas Plouffe managed to make a qualified save. Defensores de Mar de Ajó's players were relieved. In the 81st minute, Orlando Casaus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kleopas Plouffe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kleopas Plouffe. Kleopas Plouffe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. The Defensores de Mar de Ajó supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chile's performance. The match ended with a win for Chile.
