After having played for 4 minutes, Fabrício Lustosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia Monte Gordo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabrício Lustosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mao Zhen Hong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Academia Monte Gordo's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Mao Zhen Hong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Fryderyk Grucza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Fryderyk Grucza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. 25 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong. Mao Zhen Hong was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fryderyk Grucza, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Simon Matsson thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Mao Zhen Hong, a very annoying self made goal in the 30th minute which led to 1-2. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Mao Zhen Hong didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Academia Monte Gordo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 38th minute of play forced Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Mao Zhen Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mao Zhen Hong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Academia Monte Gordo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Mouricio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 45th minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Fryderyk Grucza made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Mao Zhen Hong made a huge save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrício Lustosa in the 56th minute of play. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Academia Monte Gordo's Fabrício Lustosa. But to his dismay, Fabrício Lustosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrício Lustosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 64th minute of play forced Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Mao Zhen Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mao Zhen Hong saved Academia Monte Gordo from getting behind. Academia Monte Gordo's Adélio Infante was substituted for Fryderyk Grucza. After a rather tough play, Academia Monte Gordo's Boruc Brysz got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Mao Zhen Hong made a huge save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Mouricio in the 74th minute of play. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Mao Zhen Hong made a huge save. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adélio Infante went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Academia Monte Gordo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Mao Zhen Hong in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adérito Abreu in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Pascual Mouricio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Academia Monte Gordo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ecuador had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
