Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gabriel-Omar Santirso took the kick off in the first half of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Navarro Montoya narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 16 played minutes Arroyito FC got a freekick which was hit by Madaleno Valdivielso. Carlos Navarro Montoya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Venancio Etor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel-Omar Santirso in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30th minute Arroyito FC were awarded a corner. Venancio Etor went to the cornerflag to take it. Arroyito FC's Venancio Etor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Gabriel-Omar Santirso, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 30 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Julio Vera was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Carlos Navarro Montoya came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miroslav Kvita got free with Julio Vera in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arroyito FC's Carlos Navarro Montoya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute of play. Gabriel-Omar Santirso came free with the goalkeeper in the 42nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julio Vera could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Arroyito FC's Rene Iratze got a free kick in the 45th minute. After 48 played minutes, Arroyito FC's Venancio Etor shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Arroyito FC reached it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Arroyito FC's Gabriel-Omar Santirso got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel-Omar Santirso in the 66th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Navarro Montoya having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Navarro Montoya made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute Gabriel-Omar Santirso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel-Omar Santirso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Arroyito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Iratze didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Arroyito FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Carlos Navarro Montoya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel-Omar Santirso in the 81st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Arroyito FC's Gabriel-Omar Santirso. But to his dismay, Gabriel-Omar Santirso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 89 minutes into the game, Basarab Trif was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arroyito FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 89th minute, Basarab Trif hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Arroyito FC to leave the ground with a draw.
