Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. Arroyito FC's Gabriel-Omar Santirso got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 8th minute, Miroslav Kvita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 1-0. Antonio Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Gabriel-Omar Santirso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Arroyito FC's Basarab Trif got a free kick in the 28th minute. Carlos Navarro Montoya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Arroyito FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Carlos Navarro Montoya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Daniel Zorita fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Daniel Zorita a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 47th minute.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gabriel-Omar Santirso made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Arroyito FC's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Navarro Montoya came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 65 minutes into the match, Arroyito FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Carlos Navarro Montoya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Luis Andino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Navarro Montoya. Arroyito FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Andino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 71st minute of play forced Arroyito FC's goalkeeper Carlos Navarro Montoya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gabriel-Omar Santirso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arroyito FC's Carlos Navarro Montoya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Arroyito FC from getting a goal against them. Agustín Saelices recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Carlos Navarro Montoya made a huge save. After 87 minutes Arroyito FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. If Miroslav Kvita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Arroyito FC throughout the match.
