C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Raşit Timuroz came free, but Christiano Arce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Raşit Timuroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raşit Timuroz in the 12th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Christiano Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to SORRISO E. C. getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Diguinho Gaúcho hit a great ball. SORRISO E. C.'s Cléber da Costa suffered a sore thigh after 16 minutes and couldn't finish the game. SORRISO E. C. made a substitution. Natã Paraense replaced Cléber da Costa. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christiano Arce should have stopped the shot. Christiano Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raşit Timuroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by SORRISO E. C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Buğrahan Uman was slow to take the kick. During this time Trabzonspor's players had a chance to rest. Ulryk Jarosiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diguinho Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. A collision led to Trabzonspor getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Svetozar Kotzakov hit a great ball. The SORRISO E. C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Trabzonspor were winning 0-1.

Ulryk Jarosiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diguinho Gaúcho in the 52nd minute of play. With a little luck, SORRISO E. C.'s Christiano Arce got control of the ball when Raşit Timuroz tried to sneak it across the goal line. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by SORRISO E. C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Buğrahan Uman was slow to take the kick. During this time Trabzonspor's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Trabzonspor's Buğrahan Uman to fire away a dangerous shot which Christiano Arce despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Raşit Timuroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Trabzonspor's Yılmaz Avcu was substituted for Roberto-Carlos Catarinense. Hüsnü Saltuk made in the 73rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Trabzonspor's Buğrahan Uman. Raşit Timuroz struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Christiano Arce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trabzonspor. Trabzonspor's Zühtü Tamer was substituted for Raşit Timuroz. Diguinho Gaúcho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of SORRISO E. C. booed when Trabzonspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Buğrahan Uman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute Diguinho Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulryk Jarosiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnaud Clément during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SORRISO E. C. getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Arnaud Clément hit a great ball. Diguinho Gaúcho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Trabzonspor had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
