After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Vinicio Gerazan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cable a Tierra's supporters rose to their feet, but Vinicio Gerazan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Arias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Luan Toro's Leonides Burutzagi got a free kick in the 24th minute. Ciriaco Mantzio kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Reynaldo Lauren kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The supporters of Cable a Tierra booed when Sportivo Luan Toro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Valiente didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lino Gerazan made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Lauren threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sportivo Luan Toro's Erubiel Laurin quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Burutzagi in the 58th minute of play forced Cable a Tierra's goalkeeper Nacho Gonzalez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Muhammad Ali quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After having played for 93 minutes, Lino Gerazan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sportivo Luan Toro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lino Gerazan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Neither team could find the winning goal during normal time. The second half finished 1-1. Extra-time would have to be played.

Cable a Tierra may have spent more time on the ball, but Sportivo Luan Toro were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
