István Szigethy made in the 11th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo. Béla Medgyesi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 12th minute. Maximiliano Escribano scored 1-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Béla Medgyesi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo got a free kick in the 17th minute. The attack was good, but when Kázmér Kocsis in the 18th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 24 played minutes TUSE got a freekick which was hit by Gábor Kárpáthy. Béla Medgyesi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Gisbert, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 33rd minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Béla Medgyesi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Uruguay's Francisco Seco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Béla Medgyesi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Béla Medgyesi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 42nd minute. After 46 minutes of play, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Béla Medgyesi was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Béla Medgyesi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 62 minutes, Miloš Kerkez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TUSE and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of TUSE booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Béla Medgyesi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. TUSE's Béla Medgyesi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 82nd minute of play. After 85 minutes of play, Uruguay's Francisco Seco made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Béla Medgyesi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Uruguay walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
