Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Boğaçhan Tanır in the 8th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. 9 minutes into the match, KOCAELİSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Ömer Demirci took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Rolando Noboa to make any attempt to save it. After 20 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Şemsettin Tuyuğ was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alonso Berganza kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ömer Demirci, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Peru's Eliseo Mina got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Şemsettin Tuyuğ showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Şemsettin Tuyuğ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ömer Demirci, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Şemsettin Tuyuğ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 55th minute of play forced KOCAELİSPOR's goalkeeper Şemsettin Tuyuğ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boğaçhan Tanır made in the 57th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ömer Demirci. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şemsettin Tuyuğ saved KOCAELİSPOR from getting behind. In the 64th minute Ömer Demirci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by KOCAELİSPOR's Ömer Demirci. But to his dismay, Ömer Demirci quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. KOCAELİSPOR's Aşır Zabit was substituted for Ömer Demirci. A hard shot 81 in the game by Julian Murillo from a close distance when the talented Şemsettin Tuyuğ managed to make a qualified save. KOCAELİSPOR's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aşır Zabit in the 84th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. KOCAELİSPOR were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zachary Bienienda took the corner. The corner ended in Zachary Bienienda almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Peru's Rolando Noboa did a great save. With an all-out effort, Peru's Şemsettin Tuyuğ threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rafael Gallo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
