Tadeusz Rutkowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 15 minutes of play, 2kC Poznań's Ulryk Merski made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeusz Rutkowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Mexico booed when 2kC Poznań was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marek Buczko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Gaona took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tadeusz Rutkowski. 2kC Poznań's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tytus Dylla might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tytus Dylla ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 38thth minute of the game Janusz Pusiak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joel Gaona kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 2kC Poznań's Janusz Pusiak got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fernando Ekialde kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucjan Sokol in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tadeusz Rutkowski. Tadeusz Rutkowski yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. After some careless play in the 2kC Poznań defense, Luca Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tadeusz Rutkowski. The 2kC Poznań fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tadeusz Rutkowski should have stopped the shot. 77 minutes into the match, Janusz Pusiak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Janusz Pusiak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. After 80 played minutes 2kC Poznań got a freekick which was hit by Zachary Plaski. 86 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Janusz Pusiak came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Janusz Pusiak in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Zbigniew Zaworski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Janusz Pusiak scored 3-4 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Janusz Pusiak put it in 4-4 from a short distance just to the right of Dante Lacasa. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
