The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vicente Paranaense during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th minute, one of Lakers FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lakers FC. The goalkeeper, Paulão Corrêa, was totally fooled by Bolivia's Mario Fernandino, who 38 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 44 minutes in the game Oséas Capixaba did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Raí Fonseca.
