Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Candido Platon in the 11th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Marciano Garcia notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Nunez Alonso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itacaruaré FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nunez Alonso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 23 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Nunez Alonso came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marciano Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, Eriberto Ledesma ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 31st minute, Laureano Kemen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itacaruaré FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 34 minutes into the match, Itacaruaré FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Gilberto Dacio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laureano Kemen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilberto Dacio. Itacaruaré FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marciano Garcia in the 53rd minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eriberto Ledesma in the 57th minute. When Eriberto Ledesma, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 57 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jonathan Ferrant was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Candido Platon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Marciano Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Marciano Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marciano Garcia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. 68 minutes into the game, Eriberto Ledesma cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 71 minutes into the game, Itacaruaré FC's Eriberto Ledesma nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Eriberto Ledesma tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 78 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. After 79 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Dacio having to interfere. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eriberto Ledesma. In the 92nd minute of the match, Eriberto Ledesma tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Ferrant saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Efrain Haitz hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Itacaruaré FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
