The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Guillermo Mariano a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venezuela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 7th minute. Penalty! Venezuela:s Jonathan Ferrant showed great skill when he stopped Julian Efraim:s penalty. After 8 minutes of play, Cardiff City FC's Julian Efraim made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! 15 minutes into the match, Cardiff City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Xencio Millan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Cardiff City FC's Julian Efraim slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-0 after 19 minutes of play. Julian Efraim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Efraim got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Efraim in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Efraim in the 33rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Efraim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xencio Millan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, Cardiff City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Xencio Millan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Julian Efraim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cardiff City FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Efraim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Julian Efraim came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Cardiff City FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Efraim couldn't finish the play. In the 62nd minute, Julian Efraim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 69 minutes into the game, Jose Correa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cardiff City FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 69th minute. Julian Efraim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Julian Efraim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardiff City FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Efraim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute, Julian Efraim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cardiff City FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Cardiff City FC's Nunez Larra managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guillermo Mariano in the 90 minute of the game. If Julian Efraim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Efraim in the 92nd minute of play. Julian Efraim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
