Akademia Maliqi's Hakkı Onur Olcay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 8th minute of play. Hakkı Onur Olcay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of the match. In the 17th minute of the game Primitivo Andino made a throw-in which Felix Montenegro played forward. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivón Echavarri got free with Julio Vera in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hakkı Onur Olcay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hakkı Onur Olcay was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute of the match Akademia Maliqi got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nexhat Zhiva ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Zorita spun around in front of the goal 32 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Akademia Maliqi's goal. Hakkı Onur Olcay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hakkı Onur Olcay came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandru Nastac to make the kick off. A collision led to Akademia Maliqi getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. 张铮泉 hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hakkı Onur Olcay having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Akademia Maliqi's zone, Agustín Saelices stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hakkı Onur Olcay came out of the goal and Agustín Saelices tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Akademia Maliqi's Hakkı Onur Olcay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 73rd minute of play. 76 minutes in the game Primitivo Andino did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Felix Montenegro. 78 minutes into the game, Ivón Echavarri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Akademia Maliqi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 78th match minute, Akademia Maliqi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivón Echavarri to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. 89 minutes into the match, Akademia Maliqi's goalkeeper Hakkı Onur Olcay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hakkı Onur Olcay saved Akademia Maliqi from getting behind. Alexandru Nastac might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandru Nastac ran back to his position shaking his head. Ivón Echavarri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador played a much better game than Akademia Maliqi and deserved their victory. The Akademia Maliqi players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
