An unexpectedly hard shot by Aloísio Lendaa in the 5th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Guidetti in the 7th minute of play. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Börje Albohm made a huge save. 10 minutes into the match Daniel Zorita climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Börje Albohm. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Guidetti in the 13th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Baxters Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Börje Albohm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Börje Albohm came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Börje Albohm made a huge save. Radomir Debowy hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 31st match minute, Baxters Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johan Bäckman to maneuver through the defense. Börje Albohm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Guidetti in the 38th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Baxters Boys booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cornelio Olayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Cornelio Olayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 61st match minute, Baxters Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Staffan Åman to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Börje Albohm prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Olayo in the 67th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aloísio Lendaa in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. Börje Albohm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 72nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Guidetti in the 83rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Börje Albohm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 86th minute of the match. In the 91stth minute of the game Aloísio Lendaa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Staffan Åman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Staffan Åman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baxters Boys's Jim Dahlquist was substituted for John Guidetti. Ecuador walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
