Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stamen Kapitanov having to interfere. Yulian Ivanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC Builder Sofia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murilo Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, FC Builder Sofia's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Stamen Kapitanov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stamen Kapitanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Builder Sofia's Stamen Kapitanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 21st minute of play. A hard shot 25 in the game by Sten Askestät from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. Stamen Kapitanov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 37th minute of play forced FC Builder Sofia's goalkeeper Stamen Kapitanov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sten Askestät fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. If Sten Askestät had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Dobri Zhablenski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 46 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Stamen Kapitanov came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 63rd minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geraldo Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. FC Builder Sofia made a substitution. Tomislav Pandov replaced Dobri Zhablenski. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Askestät in the 67th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Sten Askestät's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Sten Askestät's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Sten Askestät received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Andino scored 2-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stamen Kapitanov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 91 played minutes FC Builder Sofia got a freekick which was hit by Sten Askestät. In the 91st minute, Sten Askestät fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Askestät in the 95th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, FC Builder Sofia could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
