Ingert Starova could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. 15 minutes into the match, AC Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Qiao Si Chao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Fuat Mançellari stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Fuat Mançellari tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Qiao Si Chao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Montenegro in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Qiao Si Chao saved AC Milan from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Petro Shenaj was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, AC Milan's Ingert Starova got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Nuçi Baba kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Qiao Si Chao was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than AC Milan throughout the match.
