Dündar Ülkenur in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Dündar Ülkenur scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-0. Yağızalp Özerkmen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dündar Ülkenur showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Paulo Flores notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dündar Ülkenur in the 41st minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Dündar Ülkenur came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dündar Ülkenur in the 44th minute of the match. Adérito Aleixo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Julio Vera 46 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dündar Ülkenur was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Los Tatangelos booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 60 minutes, Jorge Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Tatangelos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dündar Ülkenur's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yağızalp Özerkmen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to Los Tatangelos getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Vural Esay hit a great ball. After having played for 76 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Yağızalp Özerkmen. Yağızalp Özerkmen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. With a little luck, Los Tatangelos's Yağızalp Özerkmen got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adérito Aleixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Los Tatangelos getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Ahmet Koralp Özsu hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adérito Aleixo in the 92nd minute of the match. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dündar Ülkenur's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, Los Tatangelos could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
