Nico Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when REAL KÊNIA♣ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilson Chuma Akinyi didn't get a good kick on the ball. REAL KÊNIA♣'s Nico Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Kryspin Zecman came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wilson Chuma Akinyi who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Wilson Chuma Akinyi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 30 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Keter came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Furlan having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kryspin Zecman, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Julio Vera had in the 45thth minute some difficulties stopping Wilson Chuma Akinyi's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kryspin Zecman made a kick off. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nico Furlan made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Nico Furlan made a huge save. In the 68th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Nico Furlan. REAL KÊNIA♣'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Ngigi, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Nico Furlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 82nd minute of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after REAL KÊNIA♣'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that REAL KÊNIA♣'s Nico Furlan managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to REAL KÊNIA♣ getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Githinji Rop hit a great ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Nico Furlan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
