Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nick Pope prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 22 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johan Johansson. In the 27th minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 33rd minute of play forced Bajen's goalkeeper Nick Pope to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. In the 76thth minute of the game Sidney Porto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nick Pope showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Caballero in the 82nd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Bajen's Nick Pope. Nick Pope was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Nick Pope threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 90 minutes into the game, Mexico's Luca Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nick Pope made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. After a rather tough play, Bajen's Fazıl Hüsnü Toygun got a free kick in the 94th minute.
