The supporters of FC Mercier-Est booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Ignace Bailey capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ignace Bailey really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

54 minutes into the match, FC Mercier-Est's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Manuel Medeleanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 56th minute. Jayson Ham hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Manuel Medeleanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 77th minute of the match. Ignace Bailey succeeded in the game's 80th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-0. 89 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manuel Medeleanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 93rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Ignace Bailey managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Mercier-Est's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignace Bailey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Mercier-Est's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
